Dr. Lezly Taylor is an assistant professor of science education in the School of Education at Virginia Tech. Her scholarly work focuses on K12 science education with an emphasis on designing curriculum that positions students to use STEM applications in their local community. Her research primarily explores how African American students experience identity transformation and epistemic agency across STEM-based learning progressions while participating in informal STEM programs.
