Workshop: Mental Health Matters: Teachers' Wellness and Self Care
Wednesday June 26, 2024 1:45pm - 4:45pm CDT
Mental Health issues are more prevalent than ever and teachers are on the front lines. Daily they are called to navigate systemic and expectational stressors while balancing the responsibility of working with our most vulnerable populations (children). The demands placed on educators are higher than ever and the available resources have diminished.  This session will cover symptoms and implications of mental health challenges; strategies for preventing and overcoming these challenges; and self-care tips and exercises will be discussed.
