Karen Morrison

Hello, my name is Karen Morrison and I am an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Elementary Education within the Department of Leadership and Teacher Education at the University of South Alabama. I teach a diverse genre of graduate and undergraduate courses and serve as program coordinator for Early Childhood Studies. My research focuses on elementary literacy, instructional strategies that support preservice teachers’ content knowledge and sense of efficacy, and providing research based support strategies for current inservice elementary teachers. I am an advocate for student voice through the use of feedback with the intent to meet the needs and challenges of our ever changing educational environments head on and to provide support for students. I look forward to networking with new and familiar colleagues in education during the CoTL Conference!
