Teachers that center eliciting and interpreting student thinking communicate adhering to asset-based pedagogical approaches and a belief in their students’ intellectual capabilities. In this session, we explore how student generated drawings can be sources for eliciting and interpreting students’ science thinking. Session participants will look through and analyze student drawings from a previous project, as well as producing and interpreting their own science related drawings.
